TayKaye’s was started in June 2013 when owner Taylor Egan learned how to crochet from her grandmother. She started by selling her ladder yarn necklaces at local farmer’s markets with friends and family for about two years.
About TayKaye's
After expanding her business and clientele, TayKaye’s began to get invitations to larger boutiques and contests. In 2015, Taylor entered the Kidz Biz contest at the Layton Hills Mall. She won the Spring Board award after selling her merchandise and showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional customer service, and an overall great business for someone at such a young age. TayKaye’s was even offered a spot on the KSL News Broadcast to showcase her products to the entire state of Utah!
After some school counselor and professor encouragement, Taylor entered her business into the Kool Kids and Teen Startup Contest. She ended up winning the Grand Prize Award over eight other contestants from all over the state of Utah.
Taylor’s entrepreneurial spirit has driven her to continue adding products to the TayKaye’s line every single year. Expanding her business with more colors, styles, and designs. She is still pursuing her dream with her business by attending college and seeking out new markets, shows, and boutiques every year.
